OpenAI Codex app launches on Windows with native PowerShell sandbox

OpenAI has released the Codex app for Windows, available via the Microsoft Store, enabling native Windows support without requiring WSL or a virtual machine. The app uses PowerShell and a native Windows sandbox for bounded permissions, and includes the same core features as other platforms: Skills, Automations, and Worktrees for parallel agent threads. Users can optionally switch the agent and terminal to run in WSL if preferred.
